Sandal's Dunn's River-??
Planned a Christmas trip to SDR over xmas and am now concerned about our choice. I get
mostly negative feedback... should I worry?
Wanted an AI with no kids, but now I read reports with dread. Has anyone had a positive experience? Stayed at Grand Lido Negril 3 years ago and loved it, although it was too pricey and somewhat tame.

Nicki, remember most people publish negative trip reports after a bad experience reather than good. SDR is an excellent choice.

Check these reports out, some good, some great:

http://www.tropictravelonline.com/sandalsbeachesreports.html

Scroll down and check them out. You will have a great time!

Its a super resort you will have a great time.

Nicki - before I left for my honeymoon at a Sandals resort, I started reading A LOT of bad reviews and this had me worried. Once we arrived, we fell in love with the place and can't wait to return! (Sandals Antigua)

You have to remember that your vacation is going to be what you make it. If you leave thinking you're not going to enjoy it, then you probably won't. You're going to be in the Caribbean....isn't that all you need?? Go and enjoy!!

There is one person on this board that continues to slam Sandals under a variety of names. One he uses a lot is "Ramjet" but he uses others as well. Ignore him and his ranting and enjoy Sandals. They are top notch resorts and you will love it.
|
Yul thanks for outing that scumbag Ramjet...he/she is a real trouble maker and causes lots of grief on this board. Hopefully he/she will stay away.
|
ya i hope ramjet goes and fucks a filthy syphliphic donkey and his dick turns green and falls off!

I know this post is a little late to help out Nicki, but my husband and I went to SDR for Christmas in 2000 and Negril for 2001 New Years. Both great resorts and we had the best time and want to return in 2003. Most important thing to remember: be nice and don't sweat the small stuff. May the sand be soft, the water blue, and your sunsets plentiful...happy travels!
