Sandals, Couples or Grand Lido?
I'm getting married in April and am in process of planning the honeymoon. We want somewhere we can relax and have no worries. We want a great beach, good food and drink, nice room, and possibly spa/massage services. I've read all about the all-inclusives and think that this is what we need. Can someone give me their opinion/advice about Sandals, Couples, or Grand Lido? From what I've read on here Sandals Negril seems to be popular. Thanks.

Hi..I've been to Grand Lido Sans Socci (misspelled) and found it to be the best, most romantic holiday ever.
My husband and I were there two years ago. The food is top notch and anyone we spoke to who had stayed at any of the Grand Lido's say that they are just a notch above the others. Hope this helps.

Hello Josh-
I have not been to a Couples or a Grand Lido. However, I have been to the Sandals in St. Lucia and just returned from the Bahamas resort a couple of days ago. I would highly recommend Sandals Halcyon. It is a great place for a honeymoon- quiet, relaxing, beautiful and we had no worries. We are actually thinking of going back again in the near future. If you scroll through the forum you can see several other people's comments about Sandals and you will notice that there are very few negavitive replys. Feel free to email me direcly if you have any questions.

Josh,
We have been to Grand Lido Negril as well as several Sandals.
All the SAndals do vary so does depend on what you are looking fo. Negril is a favorite amound most - just a very tropical atmsphere and a wonderful beach. All the sAndals offer great food and very accomondating and freindly service.
Grand Lido Negril is a step up from Sandals. It is first class. Rooms are grander with marble floors, baths and free dry cleaning. Food and service is top notch. It is a more refined resort without being stuffy. Very romantic, incredible beach, relaxing and just wnderful but different from Sandals.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at [email protected]

went to Couples negril last month. i don't recommend it for a wedding because I think you can do better. I would go to Grand Lido Negril instead. Couples is a nice resort, but food isn't great, and neither are rooms. feel free to email me with other questions.

San Souci is a great resort if you like the "health mentality". What I mean is there is a lot of stairs to walk up/down to get to the beach area, and some restaurants. There is an elevator, but I think you should know about the proximity of the beach. The clientel was a mixture of old and young.
