Salsa dancing in San Juan

First time in San Juan. Any suggestions on good, safe, mature >35 clubs for salsa dancing?

Do a search in Old san Juan for Salsa clubs - or consider going to one of the larger hotels in the Condado / Isla Verde area on a Fri / Sat as they usually have live music (that should involve salsa and meringue) - El San Juan would be one of the hotels

Just in San Juan on Friday night and the Courtyard Inn near the airport was fantastic and very local. I realize that's probably not the answer you're looking for, but I think it's where the 35+ local crowd goes. The music was great, as was the dancing. Don't know about other nights.
No English was spoken and everyone seemed to know one another. I would head here first next time!

I had a wonderful night salsa dancing at the Caribe Hilton - great music, crowd in mid-30's to 40s, local folks. Really fun!

Sea, what's the name of the club at the caribe hilton? does the san juan marriott have a dance club?

I don't even know if the club at the Caribe Hilton has a name! The dance floor is right next to the bar off the lobby with a nice view of the sea.

The Marriott will have the same type of set up. Music and dancing in the lobby area.
