First trip do you recommend something near Cruz bay.

venzzla, St John is one VERY small island. As long as you're renting a car, I don't think it matters where you stay exactly, although Cruz Bay would be a popular pick. My only St John trip was a budget one many moons ago & I stayed at the campground at Cinnamon Bay. Very beautiful btw.

No kidding :-) I guess a person *could* move without ever having seen a place. But why I believe Puerto Vallarta is the place for me... I've already been there 24 times over the past two decades, staying 1-2 weeks every time, renting apartments, shopping at the grocery store, taking public transportation around, etc.

In the Caribbean I've been to USVI 1x, Jamaica 3x, DR 2x, then Hawaii 5x Oahu, 1x Maui... well you get my drift. Europe too but I know I can't live there permanently.
