Safe to consume ice?

I noticed a lot of people have said to drink only bottled water. Does that mean you also take no ice in your drinks?

It does mean that for me.

I think it depends upon where you're going. I drink water, eat salads, and have ice in my drinks, in both St. Kitts and Nevis with no problems.

I may have been too literal in my response. If I have a safety concern which limits my water consumption to bottled water, I don't use ice.

Kira,
You don't say where you are going. Most large resorts have their own water purification systems. Ice there is OK. You don't even tell us what country you are talking about so it's hard to give you advice.

Most ice machines have an inbuilt filtration/purifation system.
