Royal Resorts - North shore of Cancun

Is anyone familiar with the north shore area of Cancun. In particular, the Royal Resort -
Club Internacional de Cancun. It is a timeshare we have traded for sight unseen. Are the beaches there nice even though they are not on the Caribbean. Also is the location convenient? Any comments would be appreciated.

I have stayed at the Royal Islander, Mayen and Caribbean and can assure you that you will have a fun filled, first class vacation. If you stay at any one, you can use the facilities of all. The beach area at Club International is in a cove and offers the calmest water. You are an easy bus ride from town. The resort provides a great orientation regarding the offerings of the area. There are scheduled activities of all kinds all day. The food is great and reasonably priced. You mad a great choice. Have fun.

Couldn't agree more with Erin; we have stayed at the Royal Caribbean for two years. The facilities, activities, and staff are great.

Thanks for your replies. In particular, has anyone stayed at the Club Internacional de Cancun? Is it as nice as the other Royal Resorts?

If this is the new property being built by the Royals, it is still under construction...

Hi Cindy:
I've stayed there twice.
CIC is the oldest of the Royal Resorts. It is in a perfect maintenance condition. The beach is perfect if you have small children because it's sort of like a bay, and doesn't have the traditional stron waves the other Royals have. Also have 2 pools, lovely grounds. Organised games for the young, that include BBQ at the beach, and games. Minimarket. The pier is on the premises, and a lot of organised tours depart from there.
It is closer to town than the other Royals. Buses, are a great and cheap way of transportation, right in front of the door. There is also a Royal Bus Shuttle that can take you to any of the other Royals. The Royal Sands is the newest and best. They are all good resorts, so don't worry you'll be fine.
