Romantic Vacation
 

My fiance and I are going on our first vacation together. Neither one of us have a lot of experience with travel but we would like some suggestions from all of you. We would like to go to Aruba, we have been looking at The Manchebo hotel. If anyone could give feedback on this hotel that would be great. We would just like to relax and have a few nice dinners out. We want to sit on the beach and have drinks. Maybe do a few activities. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. We want to make this a memorable but affordable trip.

When are you going and how much are you planning to spend (including airfare)? The Manchebo Hotel is a very nice, clean hotel on Aruba's best beach. I like the Bucuti Resort, which is located next to the Manchebo, better because it's more luxurious. But Manchebo is a fine hotel too. They have a good steak restaurant too with one of the better dinner bargains on Aruba.

We are planning on going in June. Hoping to spend under $2000.

$2000 including air fares? For how long and where are you flying from?

Aruba is a nice place to relax or explore. I would agree with Laby. Bucuti is a very nice luxurious resort and the people were great. I booked our trip to Aruba (Sept 2005) via Expedia.com and it was $905 for 5 days and 4 nights and airfare was approximately $1100. You can go on expdia and it will show you pictures of the hotel and beach.
