Excellent report! I can tell you're a great traveller and enjoy what the area had to offer you. I, too, love Isla Mujeres. Such a fun, quirky place. And nothing better than having a whole fried fish straight from the water. The best!

Tulum is more my speed. The water, the sand, the unpretentious lodging, the friendly people, and the simplicity of the area brings me back often (but not often enough for me).

Thanks for the nice trip report. Mexico is our favorite destination and we continue to return again and again. I wish we had a much time as you did to explore everything at once. We're returning again in April and have Chichen Itza on our list this time. We went to Tulum in Sept. Loved it.
