riu - melao or naiboa??

Which would be a better resort. I want the best stretch of beach, good food. right now it is about 60.00 more the the melao.

They're about the same,Melao is on the beach, Naiboa is behind Riu Taino, so it's about 5,7 minutes walk to the beach. The stretch of beach where these Riu hotels(5 of them, the Palace Macao is the nicest) are on called Arena Gorda- gorgeous slight pink sand and turqoise water...but the waves could get quite rough sometimes! The best stretch of beach in Punta Cana is no doubt -Bavaro beach!

Thank you moi. The best stretch of beach is I assume calmer waters? do you know of which resorts are on this beach? Also would they be nicer than the rui chain?

Hi Sue ,there are several...some I'd actually took notes for myself (next vacation?)-The LTI beach resort ,Princess Bavaro, Occidental Grand Flaminco , Fiesta Hotels(4 together,)Barcelo hotels(5 hotels),after the Barcelos ,further south the water is very calm , but it gets more seaweeded ,I don't think it's that nice either .The Fiesta hotels beach is excelent ,powdery white sand , uncrowded because of the long stretch of beach front for their 4 resorts, minimal if any seaweed ,not even one little rock in the water ,gentle waves. Hope this will help.(By the way the Riu hotels in Mexico are nicer than those in Punta Cana.I do like the Riu chain.)

Thanks Moi! I will check out the Fiesta<BR>Hotels for now. I do want the calmer water and less seaweed.
