I would go back to the Ritz Carlton Rose Hall in a second!! Its just the island itself- When we were dealing with people not at the resort there was such an attitude, they were not willing to help us, they did not show up for work, they just did not care. they were rude and unhelpful. Jamaica heavily relies on tourism but you would not know it from these people. An example of this we were at the airport returning home. After having been cancelled on our American Airlines flight 2 days in a row, we got our tickets transferred over to Air Jamaica. When all the paperwork was finally completed, we had to pay the $15 departure tax. We had about 10 minutes to make the flight (still had to go through customs) and were standing on-line waiting to pay the tax. the air jamaica woman at the ticket counter told us to cut the line b/c if we did not, we would miss our plane. We stood in front of the line to pay the departure tax and told this woman that we had 10 minutes to make a flight, we were told it was okay to go ahead of the line and she ignored us. passengers who were on the departure tax line and heard our story were saying to us .. please go ahead and the departure tax lady kept ignoring us.
In general, in was a very unpleasant experience. My family has traveled before to different Caribbean island and have never received treatment like we did in Jamaica.
