Restaurants Virgin Gorda
We are staying at the Little Dix Bay at the end of June and wonder if anyone can recommend any restaurants? Are long trousers worn in restaurants outside of the hotel? Thanks for help!

The following restaurants may appeal to you:
Georgio's Italian Restaurant Chez Bamboo Pusser's Old Yard Inn Mineshaft Top of the Baths The Pub at the Virgin Gorda Yacht Club |
My family stays at a villa on Mahoe Bay every year and the best meal that we have away from the villa is at Little Dix. We eat at least one meal there every year.
I have eaten at all of the restaurants that Sunnyboy mentions and they are all adequate but not exceptional. IMO, the restaurants on Virgin Gorda (with the exception of Little Dix) are average. But, then again, we don't go to VG for the restaurants. Have fun! |
For an upscale meal, I believe the restaurant at Biras Creek is open to the public at $65 - $70 per person. If that's the price range you're thinking about, it would be well worth finding your way there....the food is fabulous (they are Relais & Chateaux) and the setting is spectacular. You can only reach it by boat, so I'm not sure what would be available to you in order to get there. And please double check first before you decide to make the trek because I might be mistaken.

Just returned from LDB. Our favorite restaurant was The Rock Cafe, just south of the Harbor. We also enjoyed The Mine Shaft, The Flying Iguana and Top of the Baths. Never got to Giorgio's, but heard it was great and expensive. Long trip up to Biras, but again people who go say it's great. While the hotel requires trousers for dinner, shorts were common outside.

Stay at Little Dix on Monday Night, the buffet in the main restaurant is outstanding. Also nice is Little Dix "smaller" restaurant Sugar Mill, make reservation for a table in the front row, right at the beach.
Chez Bambou (crossover cuisine French-Caribbean)is my favourite restaurant in Virgin Gorda and in walking distance from Little Dix Bay. Try the grilled Anegada Rock Lobster! Dress Code: smart casual/casual. Giorgio's Table (Italian, dress code: casual) offers a shuttle service. Smart casual/casual Little Dix Hotel's Front Desk Service has a menue list of all restaurants. Mine Shaft is great for its views, nice atmosphere, best painkiller-cocktails and Barbecue buffet and live music on Tuesday nights(Dress Code: casual). Enjoy staying in paradise! regine/KATITCHE POINT GREATHOUSE |
Many thanks for all your replies, certainly helpful! Just can't wait to get there now!
