Restaurants for long weekend in St. Thomas

Staying at the Ritz Fri-Mon. looking for some nice restaurants nearby. Have heard the service is not that great at the Ritz.

Hi There,

There are much better places to eat are nearby. Almost right next door at the Elysian is Roberts. Blue Moon Cafe, one of the best restaurants on the island is at Secret Harbour just down the road from the Ritz.

Going toward Red Hook (5 minutes) you have Molly Malone's and Caribbean Steak House (a great place to spend the evening also). Another 5 minutes or so past that you get to Agave Terrace at Point Pleasant with one of the best down island views on the island.

A bit further in Smith Bay is Romano's for great Italian and as you head towards Magens you have Indigo and also the Old Stone Farm House.

A short drive the other direction puts you at Dotties at Compass Point for "dinner at moms". A bit further is Mims next to Bolongo.

Even heading into CA is not that much of a trip and it gives you a whole other group of great places to choose from.

Schultz thanks so much for the information. Any of these you would suggest for a anniversary dinner?

Hi Again,

Lots of choices. Personally, the past couple of years we have gone to the Old Stone Farmhouse for Chef Brian Kat's sampler menu. Excellent food, romantic location and great service.

We have some friends who have gone to Agave Terrace for several years and had good food with a wonderful downisland view.

Our second choice right now would probably be Mafolie up above downtown. Arguably the best view on the entire island and the food the past 2 years has been consistently good.

In Frenchtown you can try Alexander's. Could work! Good food.
