What restaurants would you recommend on paradise island and nassau?

For casual Poop Deck and Johnny Canoes. For an elegant and unforgetable dinner Grey Cliff Manor.

Definitely dine at the Compass Point Club Resturant, excellent. Skip Travelers Rest and Cafe Johnny Canoe, definitely not worth the money.<BR><BR>For Coffee and/or Lunch try the Coffee shop in Nassau called Stefino's (I think).Great sandwichs on croissants or try the focchia bread.<BR><BR>And for dessert or a snack you must try the Swiss Pastry shop, below cable beach on the left towards south beach. The only deal on the island, and, the pastries are the best. You can get 4 pasteries or cheese cake for under $10.00.

Just returned yesterday from Paradise Island. We had almost decided not to go to Graycliff but we're so happy we went. True elegance and a &quot;feel&quot; of real Nassau. Just be careful about what you order. If you skip the $100+ bottle of wine, you can have a couple of drinks, a full meal, coffee and dessert for about $140 each and that includes the tip. Best steak ever! Lots of service but they do &quot;push&quot; this and that we didn't take. We also went to the Blue Lagoon. Only OK - almost as expensive as Graycliff and not as good. Very quiet atmosphere.

Dittoe the above, but may I recommend you not eat the grouer...populations are way down. Try snapper instead. Robert

Here are a few more Cafe Matisse, is wonderful, Johnny Canoe, is fun, for Bahamian food and their Junkanoo. Sun and... is also wonderful as is the restaurant at Compas Point.<BR><BR>For a fun lunch the Junkanoo CAfe next to the Straw Market, and Conch Fritters across from the British Colonial Hotel.<BR><BR>Greycliff is wonderful and try the lobster bisque, heavenly.<BR><BR>Have a great time.

My favorites are Montegue Gardens, Cafe Matisse and Green Shutters Pub. For real bahamian food, head to the fish fry at Arawak Cay. Twin Brothers, Deep Creek or Goldies are the favs at the fish fry.<BR>

Wantsomesun; did you by any chance try the mac and cheese at the Conch Fritters, across from the British Colonial? Unbelievable; the Bahamian version is delicious there. They put in green peppers and a cheese mix that's good. It is a good place for cracked conch too. I like the Green Shutters for the food and atmosphere...historical significance. Robert

I highly recommend the Hall of Waters at Atlantis - we had a great meal there. Make reservations in advance.

Green Shutters used to have authentic British pub food but since new management has gone downhill,Steak &amp; kidney pie with kidney beans? I don't think so.Chez Willie west of Hilton gets rave reviews Buena Vista near Graycliff has always been good<BR>Sun And.. very good reputation but the owner is finicky about dress code,you may think you are dressed appropriately but she may turn you away if she don't like your outfit!Personally,I love Androsia on the Cable Beach strip{next door to Swiss Pastry} fabulous seafood,filet mignon to die for and reasonable prices,the decor is o.k but the consistency of the food and the service make up for it.
