Take a look at www.sbhonline.com. There is a wonderful restaurant review section with links to comments made in the forum about each restaurant and a really great discussion board with extremely knowledgeable travelers.

Some which are more reasonable (nothing is cheap) are:
- K'ife Masai, beautiful African theme but French food. Service can be very slow.
- La Marine for fish and seafood, especially on Thursday's when it's frites and mussel night and the mussels have been flown in fresh from Paris via St.Maarten that day.
- Andy's Hideaway for a salad and wood-burning oven pizza
- Le Repaire, right on the water in Gustavia for great grilled fresh fish and even a good club sandwich or burger
- La Creparie in Gustavia for authentic French crepes for lunch.
- La Gloriette for lunch
- Kife e Mo for a quick panini and salad on the run
- L'Esprit de Saline which is really pretty and off the beaten path on the
road to Saline Beach is the restaurant owned by a former chef of Maya's. The
menu is very limited but the food is very fresh and the veggies especially
are yummy. It's worth going to.

Also not to be missed for great food at very reasonable prices are Le
Piripiri Palace for amazing ribs, though everything is great and Eddy's (no reservations, closed Sunday) a local place with amazing food, especially the green mango salad.

Other favorite spots (though very expensive) are: Eden Rock Sandbar for
lunch, Main dining room for dinner, Mayas and Le Sappotillier.

And don't forget a picnic with a wonderful roasted chicken and fresh salads and cheese from La Rotisserie.
