Restaurant suggestions in Barbados?

My husband and I will be in Barbados at the end of October. Could anyone recommend any restaurants that you have enjoyed? Thanks!

For dinner you must go to The Cliff! We also enjoyed The Tides, The Mews, and the sushi place at The Crane hotel. For an inexpensive lunch right on the water, I really liked Cocomos. I did not care for Blue Monkey (or Elephant? something like that!) All places I mentioned (except sushi) are on the west side of the island, near Holetown.

First of all, consider Oistins on Friday night. It's a Fish Fry. Fish and potatoes are cooked outdoors, in huge frying pans, along with deafening music. People eat, dance and drink beer and rum. Other good choices:
Cobblers Cove Terrace - The restaurant is situated at the edge of the beach and overlooks the Caribbean Sea, perfect for a romantic dinner for two. Enjoy Caribbean cooked fish, fresh scallops, lamb, beef, and "the catch of the day".
L'Azure - Situated at The Crane Resort, L'Azure offers seafood to desserts. The atmosphere is elegant and beautiful. You can sit inside or on the balcony where you can view spectacular Crane Beach while you dine. There is a wonderful Sunday brunch with live Caribbean gospel music in the morning and a traditional Barbadian Sunday buffet lunch.
The Cliff - IMO, the best restaurant in Barbados, The Cliff is located on the western coast of the island. The restaurant offers an open-air, candlelit dining experience with gorgeous views of the Caribbean at sunset.

I loved The Cliff, but I really loved its neighbor, Carombola

Champers, Champers, Champers on the south coast - if you haven't dined there, you haven't lived. Personally I find the food at The Tides sucks. Oistins Fish Fry is a must do - all the fish is not actually fried, some is grilled, and there is also chicken and beef from the different vendors. Friday is the really busy night, but they are open most nights. FYI, Carambola is no more - it's a block of condos.

Oh no, I'm devastated!

In the past we enjoyed Calabazza but I'm not sure that is still open. We mostly hang out in the Gap. The last time we were there we enjoyed Pisces, Zafran Indian, and Bellinis. In the Holetown area, Patisserie Flindt is always great for lunch. Bubba's sportsbar is good for a burger.

Peace, Greenie

I recently happened upon these three blogs from Barbados. I believe they might have the most up to date information about restaurants, accommodations and activities.

1. Restaurants : http://barbadosrestaurants.blogspot.com/
2. Accommodations : http://barbadosaccommodations.blogspot.com/
3. Activities : http://barbadosactivities.blogspot.com/

Another good Barbados Blog is "Living In Barbados" : http://livinginbarbados.blogspot.com/

i never forgot our meal at "carambola". i wonder if it is still there.

My most memorable setting for a meal in the Caribbean was at The Cliff. I thought the food took a backseat to the setting, but it was still good. Be sure to ask for a table on the lowest tier closest to the water.

We also enjoyed our meals at Cobbler's Cove and in fact thought the food was better there than at The Cliff, but these observations are based on a stay back in 2002 and things could have changed at either place.

Carambola was a favorite of ours as well, however it closed a few years back and was torn down and replaced with luxury condos.
