Restaurant help in St. John
My husband, myself and my 2-year-old son will be visiting St. John for a week in March. We're staying in a villa and will probably eat in most of the time, but are planning 2 dinners out -- one with the whole family including grandparents and one for just the two of us.

Can anyone recommend a family friendly place to eat? AND a romantic place to eat, bearing in mind that my husband is a meat&potatoes kind of guy! Thanks for your input.

Cafe Roma has great pasta dishes and pizza. For a romantic dinner I'd suggest Asolare. If you get their fairly early you can eat out on the patio overlooking the bay. It is an "asian infusion", but they serve the best lamb I've ever had (might be good for your meat and potatoes man) Also try the Lime Inn.

Chateau Bordeaux at sunset so you can see the views before dark. Excellent. Asolare if you are into the "fusion thing" with great views. Stone Terrace. Cafe Wahoo on the water. For the "family" thing, you might try Morgan's Mango, one of my favorites or Cafe Wahoo. People seem to love Lime Inn for the peel-it-yourself shrimp nite (wedensdays, I think).

Lime Inn for the group, and Morgans Mango for the two of you. Neither restuarant is pretentious and you can order more "basic" type items if you wish. Your family and husband will love both.

There was a discussion on this site about dining on St. John not long ago. You might try a search....
