People suggest Club Med for singles but every time Ive been there everyone has been young (all under 40). Many of the people are nice and do include me but there all so young. Where are there quality singles ages 40-59.

I'd consider Breezes Bahamas. Bahamas was a beautiful and 'happening' island and we saw it as a relatively safe island. Breezes Bahamas is a mix of singles and couples and allows no one under the age of 16. I'd say most people when we were there were in the age range of 25-40. It is on a nice beach and the staff was great. The food was quite good. It was an extemely FUN place to be... single or coupled up.

When I was at Breezes in Jamaica there were hardly any singles there at all. I dont know why. They give you your own room at no extra charge if they have the space and include drinks and scuba diving at no extra charge unlike some other "all inclusives." but for some reason they dont attract large numbers of singles. Perhaps it is poor marketing they dont advertise that they want the singles market.

Most of the resorts vary unpredictably week to week so there is no way to know the age of the crowd but more often than not the resorts mentioned here tend to be mostly people under 30. No one seems to be marketing to the 40-60 year old single traveler. Perhaps certain weeks should be set aside by age or perhaps its just a matter of marketing to this group.

Very few people travel by themselves. There used to be an organization called singles world for single travelors but they do not appear to be in business any longer. If there were more singles traveling by themselves maybe there would be more businesses out there for singles.

There is another post asking the same question. It seems like a lot of people are looking for this but not a lot of resorts offer it.
