Resort with suites that is easy to get to from NY for November trip

Hi,

I am looking for an upscale resort for a trip in November that is:

1. Easy to get to from the NY area
2. Has suites (or villas) with bedrooms that are separate from the living area
3. Is relatively child friendly (we have a 3 year old).
4. is in a warm-ish location - doesn't have to be hot, but want it to be at least mild. (60s to 70s would be ok)

Other non-essential wants might be having some resort activities/areas that are kid oriented. The destination doesn't have to be Caribbean tropical but beach front would be nice. We would probably be willing to spend as much as $500 per night.

Any thoughts/suggestions to share?

Thank you!

Was this posted a couple of days ago, but then disappeared?

My answer

1. Turks and Caicos. Direct flights jetblue JFK, united ERW
2. Turks and Caicos. Most resorts are condos treated as luxury resorts with full kitchens, living areas, etc
3. Turks and Caicos. Completely family friendly, best beaches in the world for kids
4. Turks and Caicos. Will be low to mid 80s in November

Many specials in November. Most resorts are beachfront. Keep in mind that $500 nightly might not be completely upscale anywhere in Caribbean, but with specials, may be able to find.

In middle of hub, Seven Stars was offering 45% off plus $200 credit if "like" them on Facebook and book directly. Easy walk to numerous places.

Somerset is having 20% off stays, and an English Cottage there would do nicely.

If you don't mind a car (short distances, easy drive) for the money you can't beat the luxury of West
Bay Club.

Other resorts in your category, The Sands, RWI, and lessor luxury but clean and comfortable Ocean Club West.

As for kids clubs, Seven Stars includes it, but outsiders can use it. veranda and Grace Bay Club also have excellent kids clubs which outsiders can use for a charge.

Agree, Turks & Caicos is perfect for what you are seeking - specifically the Grace Bay area on the island of Providenciales where 95% of the resorts in the T&C's are located.

There are scores of "condo/resorts" that are perfect for families and many are in your rice range. The island is an easy, relatively short non-stop flight from NYC area airports, temperatures in November will be in the low-80's F., water will be warm for swimming and the waters is usually quite calm so you 3YO can wade around. Sand is soft and white - perfect for making sand castles.

Don't get confused by looking at other destinations - concentrate your efforts on Provo. You'll be glad you did.
