Resort Recommendations
 

I need some suggestions for a resort to take my wife for her 50th birthday next August (2016). As you all probably know, there are so many to choose from it gets confusing. The ideal resort would emphasize the following:

Great food and service a must.

Butler service a plus

All inclusive a plus but not a necessity

Moderate amount of activities to keep us busy. ( I looked at Petite St. Vincent and while it looked perfect in many respects the reviews indicated that there was little to due. Over the course of a week this would become a problem. )

My budget is around 7-8 k

August is a great time to visit Colorado. We love Devil's Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa, between Winter Park and Granby, CO. About 1.5 hrs from Denver airport.

Iberostar Paraiso Grand or Grand Velas. Both in the Riviera Maya area.

Tom...keep in mind that August is almost the height of the hurricane season. You should see some great deals, but there is that risk.
