My fiance and I are thinking about staying at the sandals Royal Caribbean or Dunns River falls. We heard that at the Royal Caribbean you can hear the planes go by all the time and it is very annoying..<BR>Please help!!!!<BR>

Planes are really not a bother over Royal. MoBay Sandals is known for the planes overhead.<BR><BR>Dunn's and Royal are two very different resorts, Dunn's beiing far more active.<BR>Both are great however.

Not sure where you heard there was annoying plane noise at Royal Carribbean ... we did not notice planes at all during our stay at Royal Caribbean. They were, however, noticeable at Sandals Montego Bay, which, as Penney says, is the Sandals which is known for the planes overhead. Also, not sure what you are looking for in a resort, but IMO Royal Caribbean and Dunns River are opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of resort personality and style ... Dunns is high rise style, lots of activity, found it to be a sort of party / camp atmosphere, whereas Royal Caribbean is low rise, plantation style, found it to be low key, quiet and relaxing.

We just got back from Sandals Mobay on 7/9...the planes are not that bad at the Royal Caribbean. Theyre much louder at Mobay...but you get used to it. Id stay at Sandals Dunns River or Negril!! Have a great time!
