Trip Report: Ecocamping on St. John

Thank you so much for the advice in planning my St. John trip. I had pasted the thread into a document which I brought with me - it was a great resource. I am including a link to my trip report as I wanted to include photos. We really loved it!

Thank you for the report!
How many people fit into one taxi that they drive around dropping people off? Are there taxis for only 4 people?

I only got the taxi on St. Thomas but it was a van which fit maybe 8 or 9 passengers. Not sure if they are the same on St. John.

Carol, I sooooo enjoyed your report! You packed a lot into your short trip. I have a feeling you might return some day . Alsia, you can reserve a private taxi for a little more money if you don't want to go in the vans at the airport. It will still probably be a van just less people. Let me know if you want the info.

Glad you enjoyed the report. Yes, we did pack a lot in, but we still felt very relaxed. And there were many more places I would want to see. It was a 13 hour trip with no delays, so it's not a place I will get to often, but yes, I absolutely hope to return.

Great trip report and pictures, the only thing I remember about St. John is the rocky ferry ride and running from the little lizards .

tch912,The ferry ride was only rocky going out. Maybe it was windier in the afternoon and also it was a smaller boat. As far as the lizards go, I didn't take any pictures (the only picture was taken by the ecotour guide). The lizards were pretty quick. Glad you enjoyed the report!
