Reef Resort in December
My family is thinking of going to the Reef Resort in December around the 11th. It sounds like the Reef Resort is good for families. Any input on that?(We have an infant and a 3 year old) Also - curious about the weather starting mid-December. Finally - is it worth bringing snorkeling gear or not too bad to rent while there? Obviously any other tips would be welcomed!

Ok, well first of all that time of year offers about the most attractive rates possible, so that is a good start :)
Weather should be fine, but anytime from December to March could have the odd "norwester"... we typically get 5 or 6 each winter, each lasting 2-3 days... and they could come at any time, so you can work out the odds... chances are you'll be fine. For families, all 1 and 2 bedroom suites have full kitchens, plus there is the beach, which is always a plus, particularly for young ones like yours. We can also organise babysitting for you, but we don't have a kids club to look after the kids all day. If you like your own snorkelling gear, then do bring it, or you can rent/buy right here.. but definitely plan to do some snorkelling :) Hope to see you at The Reef in December :) |
Thanks TomCayman. I've read your posting online and they are so helpful. By the way - does the Barefoot Man still play there? Also - is there anywhere to buy fresh seafood that we can cook in the kitchens?

Always take your own snorkel and mask. Better fit and have snorkle with a water valve. Fins can be rented.

Yes, barefoot plays Tue/Thu... although he does take some nights off, so check with us first on exact dates (they are set well in advance to avoid disappointment)
You can buy fresh seafood at the Fosters supermarket across the street, or why not go fishing with Captain Joey and catch your own ? :) |
