Recommend budget vacation?
 

We're looking for a cheap getaway. Requirements: great weather, beach, and snorkeling. Everything else is secondary. We are two men in late-20s . Total workaholics. Looking to leave the girlfirends back home and just RELAX. Not looking for the hook-up/the singles scene. So far I found the deals and beaches in Punta Cana, DR best. What else should I look into? Thanks a lot!!!

Punta Cana would be a good location. Also check into Mexico or Jamaica. This will be more of your budget locations.

Punta cana is not so budget. If I went there I would only stay in all inclusive like the paradisus or meila as quality is a bit below the other islands, and they are just as expensive as jamaica or bahamas or other islands. I agree you can find much better pricing in PC, but it wont be the best accomodations....

Try sunvillagebeachresort.com located in Punta Cana. It is new. I haven't been but it looks wonderful.

Just returned from 10 days Punta Cana. Stayed at the Melia Caribe Tropical. Excellent vacation with great weather etc. The complex is large but "train" available every 15 minutes from main lobbies to beach. Very impressed with hotel, staff and service. We booked thru vacmart.com and thought the price was good. Would definitely return to this hotel.

A resort on a stunning beach is the Rendezvous Bay Hotel & Villas in Anguilla--very reasonable. Their website is rendezvousbay.com and travelers reviews at WhereToStay.com or just type out Where2Stay in Google.

my sister went to the resort diann recommended - www.sunvillageresort.com and had a great time. Excellent all the way around - the only problem is that it seems like a couples kind of place.
