Reasonable Airfare
Going to St. John's via St. Thomas for the last week in March '05 We live in north central NC and will travel from Raleigh or Charlotte. I've been scanning the airfares and found 1 direct flight and several with 1 stop. Fares are ranging from low $600's pp to mid $800's pp. Have no clue whether these are average prices.
We haven't flown to the Carribean in quite a few years, so I'm not sure when is a good time to look for the best fares and what to expect to pay. Thanks for ANY ideas!!! |
U.S. Airways was having a Caribbean sales with some really good prices. Also if you subscribe to the Travelzoo, they email out weekly sales from all different sources that might help.

Thanks Karen. I'll look into both of those sites.

You definitely have enough time to wait for better fares. Back in June US Airways had $248 from Baltimore ( BWI ) to St. Thomas. By following Travelocity you should get an idea of what good airfares are. You probably won't get $248 but you should be closer to that than $600-800. You'll love St. John.

Thank you Roberto. This info at least gives me a better idea of what to look out for. I think we may stay at Gallow's Point. Good choice?

St. John has a large selection of places to stay, especially villas. Gallow's Point has a good reputation on USVI On-Line. We prefer the villa/cottage type of accommodation. You may want to do some research here:
