Rainy weather in November in St.Martin/St. Maarten

We are going to St.Martin in the midddle of November and seriously concerned about weather.
Statistically, November-rainiest month in St. Martin (may be that is the reason, why flights and hotels essentially cheaper in November).
Question-how is the rainy weather like in St.Martin? Is it a rain from morning to night, or just couple hours rain and beautiful sun after/before (like in Honolulu).
Of course, nobody could predict actual weather, but I'd like to know general opinion.
May be my question sounds silly, but perspective of flying from CA and spending week of long waiting vacation in hotel room and watching TV sounds even worse.
Once again, thanks forum for the great advices.

Generally speaking rain comes in the form of brief, widely scattered showers that last anywhere from a few minutes to 30 minutes. It's not unusual for it to rain in one area and have bright sun 1/4 mile away. Occasionally there are days when a tropical wave or tropical depression comes through the area bringing with it rain that could last several hours. It's very difficult to predict when or if these "rainy days" will happen. The odds of seeing more sun than rain are in your favor.

You can reasearch what the actual weather conditions were for every day during November for the last 10 years at www.wunderground.com Type in "SXM" in the seach box, scroll down to the "History & Almanac" section and click on month/year.

St. Maarten tends to be more dry than rainy. We do not have high mountains which attract the rainfall.
As the above poster said, the rain usually comes in short showers.
It is rare that we have a total day of rain although it can happen if one of those tropical systems passes through.
