Rain

I know its still hurricane season however leaving in 10 days for a cruise - ports in Jamaica and Grand Cayman. 100% chance of rain showing for long range forecast every day. !!! I know that these forecasts are not that reliable but seeing its still hurricane season is it possible it will be raining all day every day in this region?

On line weather forecasts for anywhere in the Caribbean ALWAYS predict rain. If you looked at them every day for a year you'd swear the sun never shines.

It's quite likely to just be a 5-10 tropical shower in the afternoon (like Florida). Or it could mean an actual rainy day...that's why the weather forecast is usually of little help!

It is of little help to look at the weather forecast for any island. Look, instead, at the sat of the Caribbean. If there is not a big red/orange blob hanging around, chances are you will only encounter the pm shower. Check out the weather.com "tropical update".

We did the same itenary in April, 2007. It was rainey and windy when we made it to Jamaica and the Captian decided not to dock and just headed on to Grand Cayman. Very disappointing. Once we reached Grand Cayman, we thought the water there was rougher than Jamaica, but he stopped anyway. So you never know about the weather.
