Has anyone been to the Radisson Cable Beach Resort recently?

Haven't been very recently, but can probably answer any questions you might have.

tweedy

Don't go! I went and had a very disappointing experience: the "oceanview" room had no view, smelled terribly and had nails in the walls where pictures should have been, the food was terrible, it was also pre-cooked and only microwaved upon ordering; the beach was swarming with kids and had so much seaweed that it was impossible to swim (you also could not swim b/c it was extremely shallow).
Fortunately for me, my credit card company gave me a full refund.

I can't imagine anyone having thant much trouble at the Radisson Cable Beach. We've been there twice- although the last time was in July, 1999. Our first trip was in July, 1997. Our oceanview room was on the sixth floor. It was newly renovated and clean. On our return trip in '99 we stayed on the third floor (same floor as the lobby) which was great because we didn't have to wait for elevators. After complaining about the first rooms they assigned we were given beautiful rooms with a pool view. Again, clean and comfortable. The food was okay for all-inclusive Caribbean fare. One can't expect much from the islands, much of the food is imported from the USA. We didn enjoy the Italian restaurant on the property. Thsi year we're checking out the Beaches Resort in Turks & Caicos. The reason we didn't return to the Radisson Cable Beach was we were a little afraid the rooms would be getting a little worn. The renovation took place in 1996. As for kids, there were some there but they were never a problem. The casino next door at the Marriott made for a pleasant evening's entertainment. I'm curious, has the Radisson gone down that much? It's pretty pricey.

I don't know what beach Katherine could be talking about. I have been to the Radisson Cable Beach several times. The beach is VERY nice and the water is great for swimming!
