Radisson Cable Beach Nassau
We have reservations at the Radisson Cable Beach in Nassau in July, all inclusive plan. The trip includes parents and 2 children (21 and 22 year olds). I keep reading mixed reviews. Has anyone been there recently? Are the rooms really as bad as some people say they are?

My wife and I were there last June for our second visit and are booked again for August. We were booked in a "lower floor" room (2nd floor garden view)..the room was fine, other than the fact the air conditioner was noisy and didn't work well. We mentioned it at the front desk and were promised (and delivered) an upgraded room (high floor ocean view) the next day..that room was fine as well. I've read the negative reports and while certainly some work needs to be done, we still love the Radisson. I've heard some rooms are undergoing renovations, but I don't know how many are completed as of yet. Most of the negative reports I've read, I've chalked up to folks who complained about everything else. I'd say "go and enjoy yourselves, and let staff know of any problems..our experience has been that they will do all they can to accomodate you and resolve any problems Jim |
Thanks for your response and your input. It's always risky going somewhere different. Your opinion made me feel better about it.
Thanks, again! |
you're welcome!

I just returned from 3 nights at radisson cable beach. A friend won an all inclusive trip. After reading several opinions here, I was expecting somethin akin to a low end cruise ship. however, i was pleasantly surprised. our room on the 4th floor overlooked the pool, gardens and ocean. it was clean with a typical tropical motif. the bathroom was small and would have benefited from an additional sink in the vanity area. with the exception of the buffet, which was merely adequate, the food served in the 3 restaurants we dined in was quite good and the menus were varied. good cracked conch, shrimp tempura and asian salad at Islands; portabella mushroon sandwich at dolphin by the pool was excellent; the beach is beautiful, and there are several pools to choose from. the #10 bus stops frequently in front of the hotel and brings you downtown in a few minutes. then you can take the ferry to paradise island. the staff was extremely accommodating and eager to please. by way of reference, i've stayed at atlantis a couple of times and have traveled extensively in europe and would have no reservations recommending this property - if you are not expecting 5 star accommodations. I'd rate it 3 1/2 to 4. While there, don't miss conch salad at Twin Brothers Restaurant on Arawak Cay!

Thanks for your input. I've gotten real nervous reading some of the reviews of this hotel, but I think those individuals would probably complain about anything. Your review and the other one I received have calmed my nerves. I'm not expecting the Four Seasons, so I'm sure it will be fine.By the way, can you recommend any day trips, like Blue Lagoon (feeding dolphins) or anything else?
Thanks! |
Stayed there about 2 years ago; we've down many all-inclusives throughout the caribbean and were very happy with our experience at the Radisson. Excellent restaurants- all a la carte, which is unusual for an all inclusive resort. Beach was very nice, good strong drinks. Great shopping in Naussau. You'll have a great time-
