Quiet & Small Caribbean Spot

We have been to Palm Is in the Grenadines for 10 years....looking for something similar in size and privacy a little closer to travel from NH. Seeking very small, extremely quiet, meticulously clean, with simple ocean front accomodations - simple yet good food. No need for nightlife or daylife. Any suggestions?

Try the Paradise Peak Resort, Mango Bay Resort or Nail Bay Resort in Virgin Gorda--seem to fit the criteria.

How about Abaco in the Bahamas? We stayed at Hopetown Harbour Lodge on Elbow Cay and it was wonderful.

Ann- I dont know abt. Palm is...however if you dont care abt. nitelife or daylife...and want quiet, beach scene- pristene, and very clean, safe with gorgeous, torqouise water, and many good restaurants have you thought abt Grand Cayman? If you look to most Northern end the beach is awesome and some of the condos are right on the beach. Discovery Point Beach was fantastic and not nearly as pricey as some , yet very close to one of THE best snorkeling spots on island. You would def. need to rent a car . It is so quiet on that part of beach, there are no restaurants but they are all w/in short drive. We found travel time to be surprisingly quick too- frm Lexington, Ky to Atl (less than 1 hr.; then Atl directly to GC 2and 1/2 hrs. but you GAIN an hour. I know NH is farther but still prob better than many Caribbean destinations.

Try a stay at Auberge des Petits Saints, located on Terre de Haut, Les Saintes. It's tastefully done, extremely quiet, serves outstanding food and you can walk to a beautiful beach. The island has practically no tourism, in fact it has no cars, either.

Guana Island or Anguilla

Compass Point in the Bahamas is a great smaller resort and the rooms and cabana's are not only immaculate but adorable. Very easy to fly into to and the rsort is close to the airport. Excellent food there as well.
