quick memorial day weekend getaway??

Hi all - thank you in advance for your always helpful advice.

My husband just got a new job and he is going to have about two weeks between jobs. We decided to try to book a last minute getaway to the Carribbean.

We would like:
-nice beach
-turquoise water
-pretty nice hotel/resort with not too many kids
-good service/comfy beds (love the westin beds)
-not a terribly long flight from boston. will travel up to 6 hours each way
-Do not want to spend too much more than 2K including hotel&airfare&food. We are not huge drinkers and do not need nightlife. We want to sit on the beach and relax. that's all.

We will be going for 4 nites sometime between May25th and June2nd. We are totally flexible on timing as well as destination, provided it meets the aforementioned requirements.

Do you think it's possible? I've checked every website I can think of and cannot seem to find everything I'm looking for. Either the packages are too pricy or the hotels seem cheesy, or they are already booked (ie Westin on Our Lucaya Beach is booked).

Does anyone have advice?
Should I wait til next week and hope for a very good last minute deal?

try orbitz.com $1950 for 2 at Royal West indies in Turks and Caicos. On the beach by 1pm, the beach doesn't get prettier or more relaxing than that. Dates were May 20-23, you can play with other dates to get price down, but it doesn't include food. Also, try Exumas, club peace and plenty, maybe cheaper, and water taxi to Stocking Island for fantastic beaches.

Also, the Cayman Islands has direct flights from Boston.

Roscoe: It may be difficult to get something for Memorial Day weekend, but I'd heartily second the poster's recommendation of the Turks & Caicos. Virtually any of the resorts on Grace Bay will suit your purposes. Grand Cayman would certainly suit you, but with many hotels still unopened, I doubt you'll find any availability. You'd no doubt enjoy Anguilla if you can find a place within your budget (but it's not a nonstop flight from Boston). Also take a look at Aruba. I'm not going to recommend specific properties because availability is going to be an issue, but look through our recommendations in the destination section of the site for the island's I've recommended, and see if anything seems to appeal to you.
