Hi marbleheadguy,

You seem to know everything about St. John, and I assume you are north of Beantown. My husband and I live in Winchester, and my husband would like to get in touch with you to explore more of our options for St. John. (We're thinking of staying at Caneel Bay.) Would you mind if we contacted you directly?

Hardly know everything but have lived, worked and continue to stay on st john and other islands.

Hi sklewis...we too are having a hard time deciding between the two resorts on St. John, however we are not traveling till Spring next year, so we have more time most likely. Would it be possible for you to post or email me with what you decided and overall if you were happy with your decision you guys made?? Are you traveling with children?? We will be traveling with three young kids six and under so thought that the Westin may fit our needs a bit better than Caneel Bay but was not sure. We have never been to St. John's and want to make a good accomodation decision. Thank you so much, I appreciate any help anyone can give us.

As far as traveling with a 6 year old, it depends on your budget when chooing Caneel over Westin.

Caneel has a great kids serve and "nannyys" as weel as Westin and its "kids club."

I vote for Caneel Bay Resort.
