Question about flights

I am sure this has been addressed before, sorry for the repeat!

What has your flight experiences been to Anguilla?
Do you fly into Puerto Rico or St. Martin?
Or do you base the decision on flight times and cost?
Thanks~

You have enough to worry about.
Let someone take care of all of the travel needs.
Every family member that needs to fly in or rent a car or Limo, and your honeymoon can all be handled by one phone call. Call Intrigued Travel at 773-744-7435 give Selvin the list and where they are coming from and forget about it.
He'll get all of your wedding party to your wedding,
book your hotel and book your honeymoon for free.
The service is free you just have to pay for the air fare,
hotel etc. of course.

We haven't been to Anguilla yet, but we just booked a trip for the end of June. We are coming from Boston. We chose based on flight times and cost. The cheapest RT to St. Martin was $467 and the cheapest RT to Anguilla was $715. However, I found a flight on AA that flights IN to St. Martin and OUT of Anguilla for only $430! So we took that. We will take the Sea Shuttle our hotel offers over from St. Martin to Anguilla. Hope that helps!

You can fly to Anguilla from either San Juan or St Martin. American Eagle, for one, has SJU-AXA flights. From St Martin, WinAir has lots of flights.
From St Martin, you can also take a 30 min ferry from Marigot (cab from SXM to ferry about 20 min.

A lot of people don't like the link in san juan. more often than not the connection times don't work and you have to spend a night (or maybe 8 hours in an airport!)-- too many horror stories. fly as direct as you can.
check out a few other small airlines-- WinAir (flies SXM to AXA relatively cheaply especially if you book thru another carrier like USAir) or Trans Anguilla Air (which is advertised as a charter but you can often get a better deal --like $65!-- by faxing or calling to inquire about the days you are flying). USAir has a direct from PHL to SXM, and they offer service thru WinAir to AXA. there're also a lot of flights that link thru Charlotte, NC and St. Thomas.
While I have felt comfortable using Travelocity's flexible search for initial research, I often book with the airlines directly to save the service charges. also try http://www.bookingbuddy.com as soon as you know the exact dates you are looking for.
good luck!

(And a note about self-serving advertiser "Intrigued" -- I can't count the number of times I have booked a trip myself and had no problems, while fellow travelors who trusted their TA got screwed out of their specialized service "reservations"!! not that all TAs are bad, but if you want to be sure, do it yourself.)
