Punta Cana Safe?
 

I heard there is a lot of crime and muggings on Punta Cana, that's why its so cheap. Has anyone heard anything?

Been to Punta Cana many times and saw NO CRIME and NO MUGGINGS. Beautiful destination, great locals, low crime!!

do you know what the Breezes Club is like there?

I also have been there once. Most of the resorts are not close to a city. That is why one is rather confined to the resort area. (Punta Cana.) I don't think it is high in crime area than any other destination. As for it being cheaper, I think it just hasn't been developed yet to its full potential. It has a gorgeous beach you can walk on forever. Nice sand.

My friend recently stayed at Breezes Punta Cana and said it's a nice resort, but his blazer was stolen and THREE couples had their shoes stolen. People must be poor to be stealing shoes.
