Punta Cana Money Question

I would like to avoid bringing traveler's cheques to DR next week. We are staying at an all-inclusive, and I was going to bring some $1 bills for tips. Do we need dominican money at the resort??

No need for dominican money. Dollar bills will work just fine for everything from tips to souveniers at the markets.

If your going anywhere CHARGE..check all your credit cards..some do not charge you a fee...The exchange rate a few weeks ago was about 55 pesos.. We paid for small items with $$, but tours and bigger items we charged and received a great exchange rate. $$ bills always go great for tips...

I was in Punta Cana last April. I did bring US $ and a credit card. That's all I needed. I wouldn't bother getting any peso's.
Have fun!!
