Punta Cana, DR
 

Looking for a place to travel and Punta Cana, DR seems to be the final pick since February will be too cold for Bermuda, so we decided on Dominican Republic. I have a few questions if any of you can help me. Are there direct flights from LAX to Punta Cana? If not, where do I fly to in order to get there? Is it Miami? If Miami, I want to stay there a few days before heading to DR. What would you recommend for a family of 4 (two small kids 5 and 2). Is the weather ok in Feb for Miami? Is Key West for idea for family and kids? Thanks in advance!

Not a fan of the Dominican Republic myself, and definitely not Punta Cana.

Coming from Los Angeles if you want that All-Inclusive resort experience why not do to Cancun area in Mexico?

I agree with Suze.
We went to the iberostar in punta Cana and didn't leave the resort. Simply because there is nowhere else to go.

Out of curiosity I did an Expedia search for LAX to Punta Cana in February. No non-stops, yes going thru Miami.

Sure Key West is a very fun town, but it's not really a AI resort or great beach experience if that's what you're seeking.

I agree you should look into the Riviera Maya area of Mexico. MANY all inclusive resorts and things to explore outside of the resorts.
