Punta Cana

Hi, we are going to Punta Cana in about six weeks. We are going to be staying at the Riu Naiboa, which is an all inclusive. I heard that men have some sort of a dress code imposed for dinner hours. Does anyone know anything about this?

I have not been to this particular resort, but most AI resorts require men to wear long pants for dinner at the ala carte restaurants. The buffets usually allow shorts.

Actually, all AI resorts require some type of dress code for men in the ala cart dining rooms. That includes long pants, like khakis or dockers, not jeans. It's too hot for jeans anyway. Also closed toed shoes, like deck shoes or loafers, not tennie shoes.

Check Trip Advisor for reviews and pics of the resort you chose.

Closed toe shoes for men also means NO sandals. Sandals are fine for women, but NOT men.

Info from our stay at Riu Naiboa:

The dress code is nothing major. Long pants for men but I don't remember there being much of an issue.
