Puerto Rico weather, Nov vs. Dec

This is our first time going to Puerto RIco. We plan on going to the Forest, beach and island hop tour. We originally booked for Nov 10-17 but we have been keeping an eye on the weather site and it appears there will be rain/ storms/ thunder storms. So now we are thinking of moving our vacation to Dec 1-8. could you please advice if the weather is better in December or November. Specifically since we cant to go to the forest and beach and island hop. thank you so much.

Weather forecasts for Puerto rico ALWAYS, REPEAT, ALWAYS predicts rain. If you checked it everyday for a year you'd swear the sun never shines in Puerto Rico. That's cause it's the tropics and it will rain somewhere on the island for sometime every day. Most rain is up in the rainforest, hence the name. Rain in the lowlands near the beaches is often in the form of fast moving, very brief widely scattered showers lasting minutes rather than hours. It's not unusual for it to sprinkle in one area and be bright & sunny 1/4 mile away.

There's not a significant difference in general weather patterns between mid-November and early December. Go when it's most convenient for you as you won't notice any difference.

RoamsAround is right - unless there is a tropical storm or hurricane on course for Puerto Rico, I wouldn't change my vacation plans. It could just as easily rain the first week of December as the time you are going. I've been to Puerto Rico many times and have never had an entire vacation washed out.

You are misinterpreting the weather forecast. I would not change the dates of the trip.

I have been to Aruba in December and it poured off and on for several days. They say it never rains in Aruba so go figure---There is no way of telling.
