PSV or Biras Creek
My husband and I will be planning a last wonderful vacation prior to children this next spring.. We honeymooned at PSV and loved it.. perhaps the food has gone downhill since? Curious about Biras Creek looks to be equally private and possibly more beautiful..

Any feedback or suggestions helpful..

Thanks Ann

Go to Scubamom's website. (www.scubamom.com). She gives great reviews with pictures.
We were at PSV 3 years ago and loved it. Seclusion, great service. Food was good, not great (did have lobster at every meal). The problem for us is getting there. (3 planes and a boat).
Haven't been to Biras but have sailed around the BVIs. Investigate Peter Island, Guana, and Bitter End.

Ann -
My husband and I honeymooned at Biras Creek a year ago (end of July, beginning of August). We thought it was wonderful! Very private - many times we got the beach all to ourselves. Also, they have these boston whalers that you can take out on your own to find seculded beaches/areas to snorkel. The location was gorgeous with several trails to explore and the cottages are right by Bercher's Bay (not a swimming beach). We found the service to be excellent - the staff remembered our names - and the food was incredible. We're the kind of people that like to travel to different places to get new experiences, but we're already planning to make a return visit for our 5 yr. anniversary!
If you have any specific questions about the resort, post here and I'll try and answer them.

We looked at the same two choices and chose Biras - for the same reason as the previous poster - it was impossible to get to PSV in a day. Biras was incredible in every way, I can't recommend it enough. But...I'm still dieing to go to PSV!!

Re: Biras and Peter Island -- do the rates quoted include "everything?" If not, how much extra should one plan for wine with dinner, drinks? (I know shopping costs extra!) Thank you for any info.

Brias is not as private as PSV with the early morning cottage coffee, in room dining and the individual hammocks carved out of the shore. But the beach is wonderful unlike PSV. They also provide bikes for your transportation to the beach and you can hike to Better End (don't eat there!) or go to Saba Rock. Bias food is excellent unlike PSV which was pretty medicore and the staff at Biras is outstanding unlike PSV. Boston whalers are a real plus at Biras.
