Proper pronunciation of Cayman

Could someone please tell me how Caymanians pronounce 'Cayman'. I thought it was the KAY-min Islands, but a former colleague of DH told him that was wrong and that it was pronounced KAY-man, or kay-MAN...or was it kay-MON?

Thx

kay-MAN, ie emphasis on the second syllable.

Oh, and never, absolutely ever.. "Caymans" plural... always the singular, eg, "I'm going to Cayman on vacation".

Oh, and Grand Cayman is one island, say "Grand Caymans" in my earshot and watch out :)
