Post your favorite island and why please :)
 

Hello. I always love to hear other's tell me of their favorite island because I can use the info on my next trip.

Mine is St. Barth's!!! I LOVE the whole feel of the island.....so chic, so carefree the people, the restaurants there make the US look like fast food places!! Beaches are lovely too!
Grand Saline is my favorite...if you have been there...you will know why!

bebe-Though I have only been to Aruba,Florida keys,and Kauai...my favorite is Kauai.The reason being that it is sooo lush and green...also has some good snorkeling.I think the main reason I liked it there is because of the difference in the terrain on each side mountainous,canyons,semi-rainforest.Too me it is nice to go to a beautiful place with good food,nice people,culture and nature that is different from home.I really loved the chickens,roosters and baby chicks that roam free on Kauai.

It is a true tropical paradise!!!!

Not to be a spoil sport , but this very same post has been kicking around for the last few weeks ..... I will top it ! Faith

PS My family and I are going to St John in June so my favorite could change however...Kauai is going to be hard to beat.

Nowhere, not even Jamaica, is as constantly amazing for me as Praslin and La Digue, The Seychelles.

where is that Tivertonhouse?

I just looked it up tiver...it is absolutely amazingly beautiful.Don't know that I could go there anytime so being that it is near Africa.

Maldives

christiegr....I love Kauai, too! It is soo nice and peaceful and calm. The complete opposite of Oahu! I love it there as well.

Faithie....I know this thread always gets started, but I really enjoy hearing about other places...sorry :(

Maldives are in the Indian Ocean, off the coast of India going towards Africa. All flat "Atolls" covered in palm trees, with the whitest sand and clearest most turqiouse water. From the air, they look like a pearl necklace.
But I do like alot places, Cooks, Bora Bora, Seychelles, Anguilla, turks and Caicos, Exumas in the Bahamas......
(Okay, I'm spoiled and lucky!!)
