pool at hyatt in aruba
 

My husband and I are researching info on Aruba for a possible September trip. We have stayed at the Maui Hyatt, which was spectacular, and at the Hyatt Cancun Caribe, which was smaller but still beautiful. We loved them both. I saw some pictures of the Aruba Hyatt on the web and it looked like nice, but the pool area did not appear to be as lavish as the others we have gone to. The pool is square and looked like you could not see the ocean from the pool area. I love laying out by the pool and prefer a rounded free form type. Can anyone fill me in on what the pool area is like? I have done research on past posts here and did not find the specific info I was looking. Thank you for your help!

The Aruba Hyatt Pool is the nicest I've seen. It is multi-leveled so it's hard to get a photo of the whole thing. Small waterfalls, beautiful landscaping, lots of little areas on different levels so you don't feel right on top of people. I do not think you will disppointed.

Stayed at the Hyatt Aruba last August. The pool is great! I've never been to the Maui Hyatt, though. I have done some research since I will be going to hawaii next year and honestly I don't think the pool in Aruba is as nice. What I can say is that it's the nicest of all the hotels in Aruba, if that helps!

My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt in Aruba for our honeymoon in September. You'll end up spending the afternoons at the pool because it tends to get windy on the beach. The pool at the Hyatt is beautiful. The nicest I've ever been to. Plenty of chairs around the pool. It is mutilevel. Oh, and the waterslide is a blast!!! Have fun!

Be sure to walk up to the Radisson and see its zero entry pool. Very cool. You can just wade in, and a special "pre-pool" keeps sand out of the pool. Unique. <BR>

We stayed at the Radisson last August, after struggling with the Radisson v. Hyatt question, and were glad we had because we found the pool at the Hyatt to be very cramped and dark due to the number of palm trees in such a small area. Do not expect what you've seen in Mexico and Hawaii. Another negative was the old chairs by the pool. Nonetheless, you will find many people who've posted here who loved the Hyatt's pool area. Hi,<BR> I stayed at the Maui Hyatt and several times at the Hyatt Aruba, as well as the Hyatt in Indian Wells (Palm Dessert), and the Scottsdale Hyatt(has the BEST pool). You will not be disappointed at the Hyatt, the resort is lovely!!However, the Aruba beach is what truly shines. The pool does get crowded and you are not truly "beachside" while at the pool. However, the Hyatt is the best in Aruba- I would only stay there. <BR> Maybe you can help me--- I am planning on Puerto rico over christmas and the hyatt cerromar is my choice, do you know about it? have you been to Puerto rico, have you heard of a great place to stay there with the children?<BR>hope to hear from you [email protected]

I have never been to Puerto Rico. I was looking at the Hyatt in Dorado Beach for our next vacation before looking at Aruba. I speak Spanish and I thought it might be a fun place to lay by the pool and practice my language skills. <BR> Then I read in a quidebook that PR is crowded and unsafe in certain areas. My husband and I decided that was enough to scare us away. The descriptions in the guidebook reminded me of our impressions of Jamaica. We went there in '98 and hated it. It was dirty, scary and the people were unfriendly and definitely did not pamper you. We were afraid that PR might end up being like Jamaica, which is why we are considering Aruba now.

Definitely a great pool. The view from the pool to the ocean is wonderful. The birds and the landscaping are excetional. The open air lobby was our favorite. We honeymooned there in July 2000 and we dream about going back soon.
