We spent the holiday week in December at the Ponce Hilton in Ponce. We loved it! The resort is not large - no water sports or anything like that, but it was perfect for us. The rooms are very nice - clean, nicely appointed and comfortable. All rooms have a balcony. If you are a Hilton Honors member, you will be placed on the the top floor (4th) with a really great view. If not, ask for it anyway. The resort has a casino and several good restaurants. The breakfast buffet is fabulous! The people there are very friendly and helpful. Call and ask for a brochure.

We really enjoyed Ponce - museums and just walking and driving around. Mark's at the Melia was very good, but so was the hotel gourmet restaurant. We loved Pito's which is a short drive away from the Hilton on the main highway. Great food and great view.

We loved it at the Hilton so much that we extended our stay 2 days and only spent one night in San Juan. Actually tried to get a room during this past week, but the rates had gone up a lot since Christmas so we passed on it. Have a great trip!

We were just at the Ponce Hilton last week, and ended up cutting our stay short. The hotel is fine, nice casino and great restaurant/wine bar. There just didn't seem to be alot going on, very quiet. No beach and alot of new construction going on at the entry. We left and went to Fajardo, stayed at the Conquistador, gorgeous!!

Could someone please update the status of the construction at the Ponce Hilton, Puerto Rico? Thinking of going there in December, but on a vacation nothing is worse than encountering construction, and all the dirt, noise, mayhem, etc., that goes along with it. Thanks.

Stayed there in June. The construction work is to improve the entrance road. Once you're in the hotel, there is absolutely no construction going on. Nice rooms, great breakfast buffet, no beach to speak of but nice pool area. No activities, but we don't care for them anyway (we're the sit-by-the-pool-with-a-book type).

We liked it so much that we're going again Labor Day weekend.
