Please-what's the best AI in Punta Cana?
 

I am planning a surprise party for my awesome dad that's turning 70. He doesn't know but family and friends are ready to surprise him there for a great time! I am looking for an AI resort with fabulous beach, food, and service. I really enjoyed the Riu Palace at Playa del Carmen and want similar or better??Punta C is at the top of the list, please help?!

Are there any children under 18 in your party??

The Riu resort in Punta Cana is quite nice. We stayed there a year and a half ago and had a great time--beautiful beach, nice grounds, good mix of families, couples, etc. Definitely something for everyone. Plus there are 5 separate hotels at different price/luxury levels on the property so guests could choose which they preferred and all be close by.

There's a huge Riu complex in Punta Cana, but my experience is that the quality level in Punta Cana (both in terms of service and facilities) is simply not as high as in Mexico. But it's a popular complex, and they do have a "palace" level resort.

If you are adults only, look into Exlcellence Punta Cana.
If not, look into Paradisus or Iberostar.

Thanks everyone! We will have kids so I am leaning more towards Riu Palace, the only BIG challange now is the flights from houston-they have next day arrivals-that will not work, any ideas??
