Please Help

Hi everyone,
We are trying to pick a honeymoon spot for this coming May. We are thinking either the Hilton Village in Hawaii - Big Island or St. Lucia - Jalousie. I believe that the Hilton also has resorts in Barbados, Bahamas. Please let me know what you know about these areas. Thank you for your help

Are you limiting yourself to only staying at a Hilton Resort?

St. Lucia is a beautiful safe Island. The people are friendly and proud of their relatively new independent country. The water is not as blue as you might expect in the carribean. But Hawaii doesn't have sparkling blue waters everywhere either.

We stayed at the Hilton Village on Oahu, and the Waikoloa on the Big Island, so I'm not really sure which one you're referring to. My preference hands down is the Waikoloa on the Big Island. We had a marvelous 7 days for our anniversary. There were so many different pools, we were usually alone where ever we went. The spa was great, and there were some additional restaurants just as you entered into the resort property, so you're not trapped with just Hilton food.
Rented a jeep for the whole time, and went into Kona for a day to rent a Harley and ride around the island - what a trip! Had a great time on Captain Bean's dinner cruise, as well as a snorkle cruise one day.

As for the Hawaiian village, it was very nice, but Honolulu (sp?) was too commercialized. We were there 3 days before heading to the Big Island.

Good luck on the Honeymoon selection.

The Hilton in Barbados was demolished a few years ago and in June, when I flew over, there was no new construction happening yet although it is promised.

Here is a URL to go to for some interesting pix of demolition day.

http://smendes.com/hilton.htm
