Caymans

I don't think there's a Hilton in the Cayman Islands. But there's a Hilton in Barbados, and I really like it. But there are Hiltons all over the Caribbean ... check out the web site www.hiltoncaribbean.com.

Ah ... there's also a pretty good Embassy Suites in Puerto Rico (in Dorado, just west of San Juan). I think that's in the Hilton family.

Thanks Doug, We have narrowed it down to Barbados and Cabos. What do you think of Cabos

I started out trying to use my pre-devaluation Hilton points for a category 5 or 6 hotel at the beach in the Caribbean or US, but I'm a beach snob, so I decided on the Maldives instead.

You might want to check out the flyertalk forums. There is a lot of discussion about similar topics there.

Go to Honolulu , Hawaii - the best Hilton I feel, its almost like its own little town, nice beach & water - its HI you cant go wrong plus they do give u resort dollars that we had trouble even finishing.Nice food, good drinks & entertainment.
I would go to Honolulu just for the Hilton even thou I feel Maui etc are much prettier

sorry-I was thinking Marriott.

I've been to the one in Barbados, it's nice. The year I was there though, the beach was non-existent, storms had knocked it out--but Caribbean always bounces back and I'm sure it came back.

I've been to the one in Cabos too-very nice. I loved Cabos--you do need a car to get into the towns, Hilton is in the middle strip between 2 towns, but overall loved the scenery and the resort is luxurious.

So which did you pick?

Curacao is also a nice choice. Good snorkelling, nice water, lots of restaurants. I agree that the Barbados Hilton is very nice.

Blamona, sorry it took so long to get back to you. I did a 180. I booked six days in Isreal. Thank you for your help.
