Pineapple Beach St. Thomas?

We would like to go back to where we spent out Honeymoon many years ago. We were at The Pineapple Beach resort. Is it still there and is it as lovely as I remember or should we look for another hotel?
Sorry to say that Pineapple Beach Resort is long gone. On the property now is the Grande Beach, a Marriott property. You will still hear people call it Pineapple Beach and I think Blazing Villas still uses Pineapple Beach in their title.

Karen: You seem to usually give good information but Pineapple most certainly is still there and still pretty much the same! You may be confusing the fact that the old Stouffer Resort became a Marriott property now called Renaissance Grand Beach Resort and the Pineapple Villas are located (as always) on that property. Blazing Villas still run the property. Barb, they're listed in the telephone book and are still there, so check it out!

sorry, Mary, I was thinking pre-Stouffer's when Barb said many years ago. I guess I wasn't clear enuf that the villas at Pineapple Beach that are still there but when the question was about a hotel, I went back too far! Guess my "many years ago" was too long ago! :-) Think their web site is www.blazingvillas.com

Barb
Pineapple Beach is still here. So is Pineapple Village and Blazing Villas (part of Pineapple Village). I manage Blazing Villas and rent them out as a hotel. Check out the website www.blazingvillas.com or call the hotel 800-382-2002. How long ago were you here? I would be happy to discuss you staying at Blazing Villas.
Our honeymoon was in 1975 so we were there pre stouffer and Marriott. We cruised and had a stop at St Thomas but did not get to go back. We stayed right on the beach at Pineapple Beach and ate in an open air dining room. There were also villas more inland and around one pool were individual rooms.

Just took a look at the pictures and the beach still looks beautiful. I remember a long pier ( dock) I guess the open air dining area is a restaurant. When we were there we were isolated and I see now there are homes all around the area. We have met many who also vacationed there when we did and it was a popular place. We hope to return. Thank you for all your help.I looked at our pictures and the sign said Pineapple Beach Resort and Villas.
