Peter Island and Virgin Gorda
Hi everyone.
I'm looking into Peter Island and Virgin Gorda (Little Dix bay) hotel. Also would consider Antigua at Jumby or Carlilse Bay. Any thoughts/feedback on the differences between them?
Looking for stunning beaches!

IMO the Jumby Bay, Carlisle Bay can't hold a candle to Peter Island and Little Dix Bay. The only thing the Antigua resorts have in common with the others is they are in essentially the same price range. Don't wate your time, stick with PI and LDB.

Both PI and LDB are wonderful resorts. The biggest difference between the two is PI is a small private island resort with nothing else there but the resort. You have to take their launch whenever you venture off resort and that will generally take you only to Tortola. If you stay at LDB you have the entire island of Virgin Gorda within easy reach by taxi or rental car - plus you can walk to Spanishtown for some limited shopping a few bars/restaurants, the marina and the ferry (if you want to visit other islands).
Go to their respective websites and you'll get a good idea of what makes each one special. One is not necessarily better than the other. They are just different and each with its own appeal.

We have been to Peter Island once and Virgin Gorda every summer for many years. Peter Island is great, but VG has so many great beaches to explore and some good snorkeling. Depends what you want to do. If you just want to lounge on the beach and go to the spa, Peter Island would do very nicely. Have fun.

If you're thinking LDB, Rosewood Hotels has a sister resort, Caneel Bay, on St.John. This is beach lovers' paradise, with 171 rooms scattered around 170 acres and 7 tree-shaded white sand beaches, all with wade-in snorkeling. Nestled within the National Park--no development to be seen anywhere. St. John is there to be explored, and Caneel has its own ferry to St.Thomas for shopping and sightseeing.
