Passport question...Help me please!!
I am very Sorry, I did a search first, and didn't come up with anything. A friend of mine, husband wants to take her to the Bahamas, but thinks he needs to get passports to there. Is this so? If they don't need them what will be needed for I.D.? They will be leaving from Boston Ma. She is VERY Ill!!! And there just may not be time enough to wait for passports. PLEASE HELP ME find the information for them. Thank you so very much. Thank you And God Bless. Alice

A birth certifacate and a picture ID like a drivers license is all you need.
|
A birth certificate is ok but it must be original with a raised seal and at least one other id with a picture, like a drivers liscense.

HOpe they have a great time.
|
Passport always easiest but acceptable alternative is 1) Original with raised/blindstamped seal or notarized copy with raised/blindstamped seal of
birth certificate PLUS at least one (1) valid government-issued photo ID (like a valid driver's license). If a naturalized citizen, bring ORIGINAL naturalization papers and photo ID per above. You can find a notary public at local banks to notarize and blindstamp seal docs. Have your friend bring you back something tropical,eh?

The Birth Certificate can be an original OR certified copy which will also have a raised seal.
