Passport - Delays

Going to the Dominican Republic May 1st. Still waiting for my passport. Ordered it through the Post Office 7+ weeks ago. Suppose to take 8 weeks worst case.

Try to get passport application status has been terrible. Does any one else have any ideas or suggestions.

Is this a problem for others ??

curious- did you get it "expedited" or normal delivery?

Applied "Routine Service" per leadtimes stated a Post Office.

Thanks for the info. Have been trying that link and getting little info. I beleive they are having "technical" problems. How long did it take you to get your passport ?

sorry! It only took us 4 weeks, but that was back in November before what sounds like a big rush happened; I assume you saw that sentence that said what to do if you are leaving in 2 weeks.

I know how stressful this must be!

I was worried that I wouldn't get my passport in time and paid $60.00 extra for the expedited service. I received my passport in one week.

The same thing happend to us last year. Expedite it ASAP. After we called in to expedite it, we had it in a few days, and one day before we left. Stressful, so this year we paid to expedite our friends passport right away and it still took 5 1/2 weeks.
