parrot cay or amanyara?
 

i was hoping someone out there can help us decide!!

Have you read anything about the two places? What do you want from your vacation? One is an AI on its own island -- Parrot Cay -- and Amanyara is on Provo where you can drive into town and other areas of the island.

There are several threads on both of these resorts. If you haven't searched yet, just put in either Amanyara or Parrot Cay in the search box.

I would take either one!

I understand that locals were concerned about the apparent strength of the currents off the beach at Amanyara - that's the only negative feedback I've heard about the place.

Parrot Cay is not AI.

Amanyara is pretty far out to really go back and forth to Grace Bay/restaurants-so most stay put.

I would choose Parrot Cay any day-it's very special.

You are correct, Blamona. Amanyara is not AI -- only breakfast is included in the room rate.

thanks so much. we are going for parrot cay. besides, it is half the price!! i'm a little distracted by the tortuga bay hotel in punta cana DR right now, but likely i am headed to parrot cay.

T&C is far superior to DR-beaches more beautiful, and food a LOT better-Parrot Cay is first class all the way.
